This holistic framework allows Mehak to approach sustainability as a set of sci­

entific equations and a deeper, integrated mindset. When questioned whether

sustainability is a way of thinking or a necessity for survival, she responds: “It is

both”. Humanity’s current comfort-seeking nature and reluctance to put in ef­

fort clash with the “alarming need” to address climate change, food shortages,

and pollution. She recognizes that “the whole ecosystem is wound by sustaina­
